FAQ | Carpet Cleaning NJ

Q: How often should I clean my carpets?

A: Depending on how many children and pets you have, and how heavy the traffic in your home is, we recommend you have your carpet cleaned between 1 and 3 times per year.

Q: Which is your preferred method of cleaning?

A: Extensive testing shows that hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning, is the ideal method for carpet cleaning in NJ. This method is performed with high heat and pressure in conjunction with a high-powered vacuum, all created with a truck-mounted unit. We recommend hot water extraction as a first choice when maintaining the carpet in your NJ home. Some circumstances however, require a different method based on your location or type of carpet. Some instances also may require portables.

Q: How quickly will the carpets dry after cleaning?

A: Depending on weather, access to ceiling fans and central air, the normal dry time is between 4 and 8 hours.

Q: Can I walk on my carpets after cleaning?

A: You can actually walk on carpet right after its been cleaned. However we do suggest you use caution walking from the wet carpet onto a hard surface as the hard surface will be slippery after carpet, tile and grout cleaning in your NJ home or office. We also suggest that you keep pets and children off the cleaned area as long as possible after it has been cleaned

Q: How should I prepare for my carpets to be cleaned and do I have to remove all furniture?

A: We always advise our customers to clear any valuables or breakable from all surfaces. You do not need to move all furniture, but anything you do choose to move is always appreciated. If there is no way for the homeowner to move things out, our team will absolutely move everything for you. Removing furniture prior to your carpet cleaning is preferred but certainly not necessary.

Q: How often should I vacuum my carpets?

A: We recommend that you vacuum your carpet at least 1 to 2 times per week. This will remove the surface dirt from falling deeper into your carpet, which will eventually cause damage to carpet fibers. Along with having your carpets professionally cleaned by Best Way Carpet and Tile Cleaning of NJ at least once every 6 months, regularly vacuuming your carpets is the best way to extend the life of your carpet.

Q: How often do you recommend tile cleaning?

A: We recommend that if you have tile and grout in your home it should be cleaned at least 1 time per year but under the best circumstances, every 18 months. If it is VCT tile that is in your place of business, it will need to be stripped clean with 5-6 coats of high gloss, non-slip wax. Once this is complete we will review your situation and determine the best maintenance plan for your business. Professional maintenance keeps the floor cleaner longer and allows your floor to hold its shine and luster over a long period of time.

Q: Do you guarantee your work?

A: When you work with Best Way Carpet and Tile Cleaning, the answer is simple. If you are unsatisfied or unhappy with the work that was completed- you do not pay! We will always do whatever it takes to make our customers happy. Whether you come to us for carpet, tile, grout or upholstery cleaning in NJ, our team will work hard to ensure that you are satisfied.
